The awards are brought to you by The Maltings Shopping Centre and St Albans Times.
By submitting a nomination or vote, you agree to the following:
Business Eligibility
Businesses must be located within St Albans.
Businesses must be trading at the time of nomination.
Businesses must fall within one of the official award categories.
The organisers reserve the right to verify eligibility.
Nominations
Nominations open 12 March 2026 and close 12 April 2026 (11:59pm).
Nominations must be submitted via the official online form.
Multiple nominations for the same business are allowed.
Businesses may nominate themselves.
Shortlisting decisions are made by the organisers and are final.
Public Voting
Voting runs from 15 April 2026 – 13 May 2026 (11:59pm).
One vote per person, per category.
Duplicate, automated or suspicious votes may be removed.
The organisers’ decision on all voting matters is final.
Finalists
All voting, with the exception of the Champion’s Award, is down to public vote
The top 5 retailers with the most individual nominations make it through to finalists
The finalist with most number of votes wins in each category
Judges hold the right to refuse any entries and discount multiple nominations
and votes from a single source.
Champion’s Award
The Champion’s Award is selected by an independent judging panel.
This category is not decided by public vote.
The judging panel’s decision is final.
Publicity
Finalists and winners may be featured in press, online and social media coverage.
By entering, businesses agree to reasonable publicity related to the awards.
Data Protection
Personal information will only be used to administer the awards.
Marketing communications will only be sent where consent has been given.
Data will be handled in accordance with UK data protection law.
General
The organisers reserve the right to amend or withdraw the awards if necessary.
In all matters relating to the awards, the organisers’ decision is final.
